Wow! I’m so impressed with the responses here, Laurie, Roberta, and Bill. Not sure about y’all but I’m 63 and remember so much about how life was then and I think it’s safe to say that African Americans have NOT developed into the community that we hoped for. Also, I can say that the main stream, mainly Caucasian, communities have regressed. But, both, I feel, are because of this Communist Democrat Party that has not only corrupted our government, but has their claws so deep inside of our government with the help of the Main Stream Media, that they actually have a name, called The Deep State. There is no doubt that the agendas that they are pushing in our schools, workplace, and in all social, public areas leans towards Communism. They want to change our way of thinking and changing names for things we already had names for. Infringing on our freedoms and basically telling us what we should say, how we should think, and how we should act towards certain races. It’s become a circus of double standards that would never hold up in any society for the long term. My GOD, these people are telling us that our Police are bad people and criminals are heroes. I am absolutely amazed that there are people walking free in our society that supports this. This backwards, destructive agenda is being pushed on our television by celebrities each and every day. It’s in our Professional Sports arenas. When a fan tunes in to watch sports, they are inundated with politics. Tell me that this isn’t Communism coming at us head on. And the sad part is, that we probably wont live long enough to see Communism (Not sure), but our children or grandchildren will, because it is a gradual agenda. They take just a bit here and a bit there until they have taken everything AND your freedom. It may take 20 years, it may take 40, but there is no doubt that it is coming. And your Democrat Party is the main functioning advocate to the Chinese who is raping us with enfair, unbalanced trade deals.

They also were heavily involved in the peace movement. Now there were various forms of the Communist Party and some were more radical than others and gave the party a bad name. However they had millions of members which gave them the numbers and I’m not sure why this writer believes they were a hindrance when I believe they weren’t. The McCarthy went after the party because of all the numbers that they had and you do have power to get things done when you have the numbers. Unfortunately the unions became corrupt but I don’t blame that on the Communist Party.

Interesting that the party ideals pushed things that couldn’t be said into the public arena, but the affiliation ended up being hurtful.
