					<description><![CDATA[Had to come back and look at it all a different time-so busy with work and class. I think to really understand the Civil Rights movement and segregation, we need to look at it in broad context, like the documentary you posted shows. If we only view one side, the side of blacks, for example we do not grasp the emotions and thoughts of whites during that time. All of this has evolved over time and has marinated. We need to break down all the ingredients to see how this time came to be and why, so we can understand the change these people, blacks and whites, put forth and worked so hard to try to unify the nation post civil war. Blacks often do not get the credit they deserve for the positive things they have done in America, despite the negative history aspects they all share. It is time to recognize more of their work to make America a place for all people, for all races. What they have sacrificed and done for America speaks volumes not only for themselves but for everyone.This is one area of history I find fascinating for a number of reasons and hope to learn more in the future.]]></description>
